Read a Twitter thread as one page

A good thread can run to twenty or thirty posts, and X shows it the way it shows everything else: one post at a time, with replies, ads and "who to follow" boxes in between. Unrolling a thread strips that away and joins the author's posts into one continuous page that reads like a short article.

The usual way to unroll a thread is to reply to it and mention a bot, then wait for a link. That posts publicly from your account and only works if the bot is up. This page skips the bot: paste the link here and the thread is unrolled straight away, without posting anything from your account.

How to unroll a Twitter thread

  1. Copy any post's link. Open the thread on X and copy the link to any of its posts using the share menu. It doesn't have to be the first one.
  2. Paste and unroll. Paste the link above and press Unroll thread. The author's posts are put in order on one page.
  3. Choose how to read it. Switch between the Pure, Paper and Onyx themes to suit the light you're reading in.
  4. Keep or print it (optional). Download a PDF to print or read offline, or copy it as Markdown into your notes.

Why unroll instead of reading on X?

  • Easier to follow. The argument reads top to bottom without jumping between posts.
  • No distractions. No replies, quote-posts, ads or trending sidebar around the text.
  • Easier to share. Send someone a PDF they can open without an X account.
  • Easy to print. The PDF breaks into A4 pages; the Pure theme prints black on white.

Unroll, then keep it

An unrolled page lives in your browser tab; close it and it is gone. If the thread is worth coming back to, download it with the Twitter thread downloader, or save it to a SaveFlow library and read it later in reader mode.

FAQ

What does it mean to unroll a Twitter thread?+

Unrolling takes a thread that is split across many separate posts and joins them into one continuous page, in order, so you can read it like an article instead of tapping through each reply.

How do I unroll a thread without mentioning a bot?+

Paste the link to any post in the thread into the box on this page and press Unroll thread. There is nothing to reply to on X and nothing is posted from your account.

Do I need to start from the first post?+

No. Paste the link to any post in the thread and SaveFlow finds the other posts by the same author and puts them in order.

How do I print a Twitter thread?+

Unroll it, choose the Pure theme, press Download PDF and print the PDF.

Are replies from other people included?+

No. Only posts written by the thread's author are included, so the unrolled page reads as one piece.

Is there a limit on how many threads I can unroll?+

No. It is free, with no account, no daily limit and no ads.
