  1. Sanyaku signals [Ichimoku Thread #9] 🧵👇

  2. 1/8 🚦We have already learned the main simple signals provided by Ichimoku: kumo twist, kumo breakout, Chiko Span breakout, TK cross, etc... 🚦🚦🚦But in the Ichimoku system there are two complex signals which are composed by a few simple signals and are extremely important. They are considered the strongest reversal signals and are called Sanyaku Kouten and Sanyaku Gyakuten.

  3. 2/8 There is a difference between a quick unsustainable dump/pump (as many altcoins like to do quick pumps and dumps for example), and a healthy, sustainable, long lasting trend. 🐻⬅️➡️🐂 As per the Ichimoku Theory, there is an optimal way to transfer the energy from buyers to sellers and to reverse an uptrend into a downtrend, (or vice versa) in the healthiest possible way so that the chance for a long and healthy new trend after that is highest. ⏰This kind of specific reversal which fits certain time-based conditions is reflected in the Sanyaku signals. 🍀 These signals are extremely rare and are considered very strong, in fact, the strongest ones.

  4. 3/8 Five conditions must be met for a valid Sanyaku signal: 1⃣ First, a TK cross. For example, if we are in an uptrend, we should first get the death TK cross. 2⃣ Second, Chiko Span cross. 3⃣ Third, Kumo breakout. 4⃣ These three signals must happen one after another in a consecutive order and the CS and TK cross must take place at the opposite side of the kumo. 5⃣Until the last signal (the kumo breakout) flashes, the first two signals must stay valid. I.e., CS must not start touching the candles after the CS cross, or the bullish TK cross must not turn into equal or bearish Tenkan Sen/Kijun Sen until the price reaches the kumo for the final breakout. For example, if we are observing a reversal of an uptrend to a downtrend, we want the first two signals to happen above the kumo (obviously when the third one is a bearish kumo breakout it can't be above the kumo as well). ⚠️Sanyaku signals work best on HTF and are less reliable on LTF and even MTF.

  5. 4/8 🐂 The bullish signal is called Sanyaku Kouten. I mentioned that they are less reliable on MTF. But this below is an excellent example of a Sanyaku Kouten on $ETHBTC on the 4h timeframe which still played out like a charm.

  6. 5/8 🐼 The bearish signal is called Sanyaku Gyakuten. ⚠️ It's important to keep in mind that while the Sanyaku signals are considered the strongest and most reliable reversal signals, we must always do multiple timeframe analysis and give preference to higher timeframes. This is a Sanyaku Gyakuten on $DXY on the daily, and I posted about it in the summer but I also mentioned that we must keep in mind that a weekly cycle low is scheduled soon and the price is almost at weekly support. Eventually, the price bounced off the weekly support and didn't play out.

  7. 6/8 We already know that a kumo breakout is not confirmed until Chiko Span doesn't close beyond the past kumo. Because the past kumo in front of CS is an essential support/resistance which must be overcome so the trend can keep moving freely. However, with the Sanyaku signals, there is an exception to this rule. Because the trend has reversed optimally thanks to the correct order of the simple signals in the Sanyaku signals, we expect it to go easily significantly further and the past kumo at CS is the least where it should go. So when we have a clear Sanyaku signal, we can enter immediately after the first breakout candle after the kumo breakout.
