Save X Articles as PDF or Markdown
X Articles are long-form posts: headings, images and links, sometimes thousands of words. They are hard to keep. Bookmarks on X only remember the link, and screenshots cut the article into pieces.
Paste the link of the post that shares the article and SaveFlow lays the whole article out on clean A4 pages, cover image included, ready to download as a PDF. You can also take it as Markdown for Obsidian or Notion.
How to save an X Article as a PDF
- Copy the post link. On X, open the post that shares the article, choose Share, then Copy link. It looks like x.com/name/status/123…
- Paste it here. Paste the link above and press Unroll thread. The article appears with its cover, headings and images.
- Pick a theme. Pure (white) prints best; Paper is warmer; Onyx is dark for reading on screen.
- Download. Press Download PDF, or open Export to copy or download Markdown.

PDF or Markdown?
PDF is best for reading offline, printing, or sending to someone. Long articles continue across as many pages as they need.
Markdown is best for notes. Headings, links, lists and images come through as plain text you can edit, search and link in Obsidian or Notion.
Saving more than one article
Converting a few articles a week? A free SaveFlow library keeps every X Article you save, searchable and readable, and exports all of them at once as Markdown, CSV or JSON. The saved copy stays even if the author later deletes the original.
Need a regular post or a whole thread instead? Use Tweet to PDF or the Twitter thread to PDF unroller.
FAQ
How do I save an X Article as a PDF?
Open the post that shares the article on X and copy its link (it looks like x.com/name/status/123…). Paste it into the box on this page, press Unroll thread, then press Download PDF.
Can I paste an x.com/i/article/… link?
Not yet. Use the link of the post that shares the article instead; the article opens from there.
What does the PDF keep?
The article's headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes, inline images and the cover image when X makes them available, in a clean A4 layout.
Can I get Markdown instead?
Yes. Choose Export, then Copy Markdown or Download .md. Headings, links and images come through as Markdown, ready for Obsidian or Notion.
Do I need an X Premium account or a login?
No. Anyone can read and save a public X Article here, with no account, no daily limit and no ads.
What if the author deletes the article later?
A PDF or Markdown file you downloaded stays yours. If you save it to a free SaveFlow library, your saved copy is kept even if the original goes away.
